Jacob and Penny Part 4

July 2020 – Jacob and Penny had started the fledgling process by sending away Nessie and Signet. Gracie has been persistent in not wanting to leave. While Jacob and Penny’s current brood are only five months of age, it is looking that the couple are about to start another clutch and that is the reason to move the current brood on.

Gracie is sticking with Penny – unlike Jacob, Penny is happy to keep Gracie around. Jacob has been assertive and biting Gracie on the neck. She will soon get tired and decide to move away.

9th August 2020 – After deliberating on the nest location, Jacob and Penny decide to build a nest on the west side of Progress Jetty. This is the location they established a nest three seasons back.

11th August 2020

15th August 2020 – Jacob and Penny now have four eggs in the nest.

20th August 2020.

22nd August 2020 – Jacob and Penny now have six eggs.

4th September 2020

22nd September 2020 – Jacob and Penny have four cygnets hatch: Aida, Allegra, Aria, and Melody.
